We get lots of calls about how to buy Gold and Silver online so we have created this document to guide you through the process.
We recommend printing this page and using it as a reference while you are placing your order.
Step 2: Add to Basket
Once you have found the products you wish to buy, select the quantity from the dropdown box and click the 'Buy' button.
If you purchase larger quantities you will receive a better rate.
Depending on the product, you may be asked if you wish to add a presentation box or storage pouch.
Step 3: Select a Delivery Option
All purchases qualify for FREE, fully insured delivery.
If you spend over £250 your order will be sent via Royal Mail Next Business Day Special Delivery.
If you spend under £250 your order will be sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48 and will be delivered within 2 business days. However, you may upgrade to Royal Mail Next Business Day Special Delivery for an additional fee.
The Gold Bullion Company also offer Saturday delivery for £9.95, and the option to collect from our Birmingham office when you spend over £1,000.
Step 4: Select a Payment Method
The Gold Bullion Company accepts payments by debit card, credit card and bank transfer.
Please note there is a 2.5% surcharge when paying by credit card.
Step 5: Proceed to Checkout
If you have a referral code, you may enter it at this stage. Otherwise just leave this field blank.
Please tick the checkbox to indicate you have read the Terms and Conditions and then click the 'Proceed to Secure Checkout Button'.
Step 6: Register for an Account
Before you can make a purchase you must register for an account. Please click the 'Create New Account' button to be taken to a page where you can enter your contact details. Once you have done this, click 'Create My Account' to be taken to the payment details page.
Step 7: Enter your Payment Details
Please now enter your card details to finalise your purchase.
After clicking the 'Complete Order' button you will be presented with a Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode screen. This is a facility provided by your bank to ensure that the card is being used by the genuine cardholder.
If you experience an error at this stage, please contact your bank to ensure your card is enrolled in the Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode scheme.
Step 8: Order Confirmation
After completing the Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode screen you have successfully completed your order.
You will be given a reference number that you can quote in any correspondence with our customer service team.
Step 9: Security Checks
If you have chosen to pay by bank transfer and the value of your order exceeds £5,000 you will be prompted to upload a copy of your passport and/or two-part driving licence, and a recent utility bill.
Please note: In rare cases we may also ask for ID for other orders.
Step 10: Order Dispatch
Your order will be now be packaged and marked for dispatch.
All orders are packaged in discrete, secure, plain and unmarked padded bags - There is no indication of the contents or value.
Orders placed before 2.30pm will be dispatched same day. Orders placed after 2.30pm will be dispatched next business day.
After your order has been dispatched you will receive an email with a Royal Mail tracking number which will allow you to track your order on the Royal Mail website.
On the day of delivery your package will require a signature so please ensure someone is at home to accept your order.
