The 2027 1oz Silver Britannia marks a major milestone: 30 years of the Silver Britannia. The coin continues to feature Philip Nathan’s iconic Britannia design, recognised by investors and collectors around the world.
This coin features Martin Jennings’ uncrowned effigy of King Charles III on the obverse and Philip Nathan’s iconic Britannia design on the reverse.
To commemorate the anniversary, the 2027 Silver Britannia introduces an exclusive ‘30’ wave privy mark, along with a finely detailed background texture highlighting the anniversary numeral.
Produced by The Royal Mint at Llantrisant in South Wales, the coin incorporates a range of security features designed to make the Britannia one of the world’s most secure bullion coins.
Security features:
- Latent image: A feature changes from a padlock to Britannia’s famous trident depending on the viewing angle.
- Surface animation: Laser-engraved wave patterns create movement in the background when the coin is tilted under light.
- Micro-text: Tiny lettering provides an additional security feature while forming part of the coin’s design.
- Tincture lines: Fine lines on Britannia’s shield highlight the detailed representation of the Union Flag.
Minted from .999 fine silver, with a face value of £2, these UK legal-tender coins are exempt from Capital Gains Tax for UK individual investors.

What Will I Receive?

Your products will be securely sealed with a secondary internal packet, then again within a further plastic sleeve.
