Four Roman and Iron Age coins were discovered by a member of the public on their expedition in the peak district. These coins are said to be more than 2,000 years old and it is very unusual for coins from two different civilisations to be buried together. It sparked a widespread search for more coins and this was even more unusual as wounded ex-soldiers helped with finding more. These have been cleaned and will be on permanent display at the Buxton Museum this year.
